Netformx KnowledgeBase™
The Netformx KnowledgeBase is the largest multi-vendor database for networking equipment and contains specifications, validation rules, pricing, ordering information, and discovery mappings for over 200,000 voice, data and video products and over two million design rules from top manufacturers of network products such as Cisco, Avaya and Juniper. As the foundation for all Netformx Solutions, this central data store is available to licensed users of any of our multi-vendor solutions, including DesignXpert. Because this information is stored in a central location, you don’t have to spend valuable time checking multiple vendor catalogs and web sites.
Public KnowledgeBase
Leading manufacturers such as Cisco, Avaya and Juniper join the Netformx Alliance Program to add their product catalogs and design rules into the Netformx KnowledgeBase. These Partners provide regular updates so that you are assured of always having access to the latest product information. These updates are then made available to users who subscribe to the Netformx Update Service.
Far more than a product catalog of configuration details, the KnowledgeBase contains the rules that enable Netformx Solutions to validate devices and ensure accurate configurations for orders and implementation including vendor equipment specifications, configuration rules, pricing and ordering information. With over 50 person-years invested in its development - this unique and extensive KnowledgeBase would be extremely difficult to replicate.
Public content includes:
-
Product specifications: catalog numbers, order codes, capacities, and more
-
Definitions of supported network functions
-
Mappings for cards, software, and other accessories
-
Physical configuration rules, including slot assignment guidelines
-
Validation rules to assure configuration compatibility for orders and installation
-
SNMP MIB mappings for devices and components
-
Real-world front and rear device graphics with intelligent slots
Private KnowledgeBase
Netformx can also create a private KnowledgeBase (Custom Content Services) that you can make available to designated users either on a standalone basis or combined with access to the public KnowledgeBase.
