Netformx KnowledgeBase Incorporates Quality Network Components’ Optical Transceivers and Direct Attach Cables
Quality Network Components is a leading manufacturer and distributor of optical solutions. Using Netformx DesignXpert – Platinum Edition, Quality Network Components’ optical transceivers and direct attach cables can now be accessed from the KnowledgeBase and incorporated into complete solution designs for the Enterprise. In the next phase, QNC will incorporate additional products, such as its Media Converter line, fiber patch cables, patch panels, and PCIe cards, as well as its MUX/DEMUX, OADM in CWDM/DWDM applications.
Enable Simple Save to Share Projects in DesignXpert
Collaborate, Protect, and Analyze your Projects
If you are onboarded to the Netformx Hub, we highly recommend you enable Simple Save. With Simple Save enabled, every time you hit Save or Save-As, a copy of the Project automatically (and silently) gets placed on your slice of the Project Repository on the Hub. Once enabled, your projects will be backed up to the Netformx Hub, and you’ll be able to start sharing those projects with other DesignXpert users through the built-in Share option inside DesignXpert. We recommend watching the 1 minute video for setting the Simple Save feature. Otherwise we recommend viewing the October Webinar “Leveraging the Netformx Hub” with additional details on all the new Project Repository features. Automatically Analyze BOMs to Identify Missed Opportunities to Increase Profitability
Do you analyze your Bills of Materials (BOMs) to determine the promotional rebates and discounts you will receive? Have you identified all the opportunities to increase margins? How are you managing your risks, such as eliminating restocking charges from End-of-Life equipment included in the BOM?
IT solution providers may take hours or even weeks to manually analyze BOMs to answer these questions. To manually analyze BOMS, solution providers need to gather relevant information from multiple vendor systems and then match to the BOM’s SKUs. But that information may be out-of-date and may not align with the vendor’s strategy to, for example, migrate to subscription models. Some solution providers inadvertently sell stock that will be end-of-life by the time it is received by their customer, resulting in expensive restocking charges. Many solution providers don’t have the resources to analyze BOMs at all or lack the time to gather and analyze the required information. As a result, they miss out on substantial financial benefits.
