JOB DESCRIPTION

You will play a key role in developing and implementing the next generation of our content management infrastructure, which allows our content engineers to convert product information from documents provided by vendors of sophisticated electronic equipment into Netformx structured databases using industry leading tools, including ETL tools, schema and data comparison/merge, reporting and analytics, and SQL and .Net (C#) scripting.

The complexity of this product data, such as data networking devices (routers, switches) and telecommunication devices (Voice over IP, telephone switches), requires you to be an expert at data warehousing, databases and data integration.

You will bring significant experience with networking hardware and software technologies to the role. To be successful in this position, you’re eager to learn new tools, processes and methodologies, as well as to use your industry experience to identify newer, faster, and better ways to deliver Netformx value to its customers.  Understanding manufacturers’ product requirements, change requests and transferring technical literature into the Netformx database is a major part of this role.

You’ll work closely with various vendors and manufacturers to ensure the manufacturer’s products are understood and correctly represented in the Netformx Knowledge Base.    This means revamping our internal and off-the-shelf tools, communicating with customers and collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and R&D stakeholders using your strong project management skills.

Requirements

You are a strong candidate if you meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with ETL tools and PLSQL/TSQL scripting.
  • Proven experience with large SQL Server or Oracle database projects
  • CCNA certified, or equivalent knowledge/training or experience, including IP protocol stack, switching, routing, and equipment configuration.
  • Expertise with databases, SQL scripting, ETL tools, and networking protocols.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to handle a number of simultaneous projects, demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive a project to completion, and enjoy a collaborative environment.
  • Detail oriented, effective investigation and problem solving skills to transform data into Netformx compatible formats.
  • Ability to work independently or in a collaborative environment, work with remote development teams and ability to travel internationally for short periods.
  • Ability to multi-task, handles multiple projects at a time, and drive a project to completion. Strong analytical, organizational and technical comprehension skills to interpret technical documentation, catalogs and configuration rules.
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel, MS Project, and MS Office Applications.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols.

You’ll receive extra attention if you have prior experience using Netformx DesignXpert in your day-to-day responsibilities.
