Netformx DesignXpert can now be deployed on Amazon WorkSpaces, a Virtual Desktop in the Cloud, running on Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a result, Netformx customers and partners can run DesignXpert via Cloud-based virtual or physical desktop deployments.
Using a virtual desktop in the Cloud means DesignXpert users can access their desktop anywhere, anytime, from any device, and work essentially without restriction. Users can download the Amazon WorkSpaces widget for their device (PC, Mac, iOS, Android, and the likes), set their login credentials, and have universal access to their desktop. By certifying DesignXpert to run on the Amazon WorkSpaces Power environment, Netformx helps eliminate the capital expenses solution providers incur when chasing costly desktop hardware upgrade cycles. Amazon WorkSpaces pay-as-you-go pricing can also reduce operating expenses.
The processing power provided by Amazon WorkSpaces, a secure Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) solution, creates a complete simulated desktop experience with all the innovative features and comprehensive functionality of DesignXpert. Users can install the DesignXpert solution as part of that implementation. Amazon WorkSpaces provides persistence, which means the Netformx Updater maintains access to the Internet for regular updates to the Netformx KnowledgeBase™, the richest multi-vendor content library in the world, as well as to the Netformx Hub, which coordinates workflows and provides consistent, shared data across a project’s lifecycle.
Everyone with a DesignXpert Subscription will have access to the Virtual Desktop experience if you have a subscription to Amazon WorkSpaces Power configuration delivered on AWS. Users can reuse their existing DesignXpert Serial number and subscription.
