 Update Version 14.2 includes the following 4 enchancements and more . . . See the Release Notes for full details.

1) Key Enhancements

We have been working hard to add even more functionality including:

Multiple Graphical Layers allowing you to associate devices, shapes and links into groups called layers. You can easily show and hide layers to generate multiple views of the design.

Attributes and Find Capabilities enables search on new attributes such as device creation and modification dates. You can combine attributes and also create pre-defined queries, which can easily be shared amongst users.

Custom CLI Commands for Network Discovery to allow you to view and control which commands are executed during a discovery. You can also exclude non-SNMP devices from selected reports.

2) Bug Fixes

We have also been hard at work fixing 111 bugs including:

  •   Design documents are correctly supported in Office 2003 and 2010
  •   BOM generation for current drawings is correct for all cases
  •   New exchange rates are effective immediately in all reports
3) UCS 2.0 Advisor – Beta Release

The UCS 2.0 Advisor was completely redesigned based on user feedback with support from Cisco development. The result is a faster and more intuitive configuration process, which is now available to all users as a beta release. You can find out more about this new Advisor by clicking here.

4) Product Improvement Program

In our continued efforts to improve our products and services, we are rolling out a Product Improvement Program using voluntary and anonymous data from users. We will use this data to analyze trends and better understand how our software is used to perform your work and how to improve our products in the future. November 21, 2011:

Cisco Discovery Services Upgrade  DesignXpert Version 14.0.1.8 has been released to accommodate upcoming Cisco Discovery Service upgrades. Beginning on November 21, 2011 you must be using V14.0.1.8 to access Cisco Discovery Services. Please run the Netformx Updater to receive this important update. If your Netformx Updater set to automatic you will receive this update with no further action required. 

November 16, 2011:

DesignXpert Platinum Edition Vendor Archiving  As part of our effort to update the Netformx Knowledgebase, all active vendor catalogs have been refreshed with current product attributes, options, accessories and technical specifications.  Additionally, several vendors have been placed in a new Archived Vendors folder, effective November 21, 2011.  Click here for details.

The Customer Project Portal provides Project Managers at Netformx' customers and partners access to manage Change Requests and Support Requests relating to active development projects.
