Don’t lose out on Cisco VIP or LCI Dollars – Take action before January 28, 2023

Steps for Cisco Partners to take before VIP 40 and the LCI Q2 FY23 Ends
Finding extra dollars is key to your profitability. That is why it is important to ensure you are doing everything required to earn those VIP 40 rebate and Lifecycle Incentives (LCI) reward dollars according to Cisco’s very strict deadlines. Here is a reminder of the things you need to do as VIP 40 and LCI Q2 FY23 comes to a close on January 28, 2023.
Leveraging Netformx ChannelXpert and LifecycleXpert is the best step you can take to ensure no rebate or reward dollars are left on the table. We recommend you share this blog with team members responsible for each of the Cisco programs!
FIRST: Actions to take before January 28, 2023
VIP 40 Requirements Before Closing
- Go to the VIP Dashboard in ChannelXpert
- Check the Tasks & Insights window on the Dashboard page to verify the Prerequisite Status requirements are maintained for Subtracks
- Review Certifications, Specializations with due-by dates
- Note: CSAT has been incorporated into Subtrack certifications for VIP40 and must be complete by January 28, 2023.
- On the VIP Dashboard, Check Subtrack Minimum Booking Targets/MCV Revenues are met
- For Subtracks not at min bookings/revenue:
- Review ‘Missing Booking to Secure Rebate or Meet Cumulative MCV’ w/Sales Ops to promote/spiff/pull potential orders to book by end of VIP
- For Subtracks w/min bookings/revenue met:
- For Architecture VIP note ‘VIP Eligible Shipped’ against ‘Potential Rebate’ to identify $ amount of orders
- Export Status Check excel report and identify orders to open a case to escalate shipping to Cisco
- For Subtracks not at min bookings/revenue:
- For Annuity VIP verify that Expected Rebate meets program expectations
- December Payments for Payment 4 of VIP 38, Payment 2 of VIP 39 amounts should meet Dashboard Expected Payment amounts
- For planning purposes VIP 40 Dashboard Expected Payments column will reflect current total booking/shipments rebates.
Lifecycle Incentive (LCI) Quarterly Reporting Requirements
- Go to the LifecycleXpert Dashboard in ChannelXpert
- Check the Tasks & Insights window on the Dashboard page to verify deadlines are met for Use-Activate PoP or Adopt CSP & SBO Activities
- On the LCI Dashboard verify that any qualified Use-Activate or Adopt Opportunities are being actively worked for submittal if possible
- Review the Quarters approve/denied status for Adopt/Use-Activate, and submit additional information requests or appeal case decisions if necessary.
- Verify that total LCI Quarterly activities and status reflect accurate reporting.
NEXT: VIP and LCI Actions required after January 28, 2023
- For Cisco Direct bookings, Review Control Room VIP REBATE REPORTS $ amounts:
Review ship dates, opening a case in Cisco Customer Service Hub for Shipping Expedite where appropriate – See table below
- For Standard Disti bookings placed in VIP 40:
Open a ticket with the Distributor requesting they expedite shipping to the customer by the required date of April 29, 2023, where appropriate.- Keep in mind: Orders booked in the current VIP period that ship after the final ship date for VIP40 will not be eligible for Cisco rebate.
- For LCI Opportunities for Q2FY23:
- Continue to Submit cases for PoPs, CSP and SBOs for qualified Adopt/Use-Activate Opportunities before expiration date.
