Netformx Discovery and the Collection Engine were Retired on December 31, 2024
Netformx has officially retired the desktop version of Netformx Discovery and the Netformx Collection Engine on December 31, 2024, marking the end of sale and support for these tools. The reason is that Netformx AssetXpert has replaced the need for the desktop Discovery tool and Collection Engine for conducting remote assessments and Discovery.
The cloud edition of AssetXpert delivers a much more robust solution with a streamlined assessment process. Users can conduct rapid, remote baselining of network inventory, and benefit from a comprehensive audit and analysis of multivendor networks. It discovers and documents the network down to each node, identifies security vulnerabilities, and completes the process in hours instead of days or weeks.
