PIT Delivers Deal Level CPI Calculator for Cisco 360

Cisco 360 has officially launched, redefining how Cisco partners are measured and rewarded. With incentives now driven by Partner Value Index (PVI) and Cisco Partner Incentives (CPI), partners need more than visibility — they need operational tools that translate Cisco’s measurements into real, profitable deal decisions.

That operational work starts in Pre-Sales and is simplified with the Netformx Pipeline Insight Tool (PIT).

From VIP to CPI: Why PIT Has Evolved

For years, PIT helped partners calculate the impact of VIP incentives at the deal level, enabling sellers to price competitively, protect margin, and win profitably.

As VIP winds down and CPI becomes the primary incentive model under Cisco 360, PIT has evolved to support this new reality with a Cisco 360 CPI Calculator.

“One of the biggest changes in Cisco incentives is the merge of what used to be VIP and CSPP.
Services are now using the same incentive mechanism as Products, Solutions, and Annuities.”

Built for Cisco 360: Deal-Level CPI Visibility

The updated Deal CPI Calculator inside PIT shows how CPI impacts each deal using what matters most in Cisco 360 — your PVI score.

With PIT, partners can:

  • See CPI impact before the deal closes, including direct and distributor-sourced deals
  • Model profitability based on their current PVI score
  • Balance competitive pricing with margin protection
  • Align pipeline strategy directly to Cisco 360 outcomes

Where Netformx already has access to a partner’s PVI score, it is automatically populated. If not, partners can easily set and simulate different PVI values using built-in toggles — enabling scenario planning without delay.

“Run incentive calculations using different PVI values as simulations.”

Services Incentives — Simplified

CPI has also unified incentive treatment across products, solutions, annuities, and services. PIT now supports this complexity with the same simplicity partners expect.

“Netformx’s Pipeline Insight Tool (PIT) has been extended to handle the complexities of
service rebates — just upload a BoM and it will predict your incentives.”

Uploading a BoM, selecting a deal or estimate, and running incentive calculations remains as simple as ever:

“Upload a BoM, select a Deal or Estimate, push a button — your incentives
(including services) are calculated. Choose CPI or VIP 46 incentive calculation.”

Why This Matters Now

Under Cisco 360, incentive performance is no longer a post-sales surprise. It is determined in pre-sales — deal by deal.

“As things become more competitive for partners, having insight into your
expected rebate can make the difference between winning and losing a deal.”

The Bottom Line

Netformx PIT transforms PVI and CPI from after-the-fact reporting into a pre-sales strategy. See the steps below. Partners can confidently shape deals that meet Cisco’s incentive logic, increase rebate earnings, and scale best practices across global teams.

PIT is ready for Cisco 360.
Your pipeline strategy should be too.

Steps to Calculate your CPI Dollars on an Estimate or Deal

Legend for Arrows:

  1. Open the VIP / CPI Calculator from the left menu.
  2. Toggle between VIP and CPI analysis modes.
  3. View your PVI score under each portfolio (if available).
  4. See calculated rebates based on Partner status as a Cisco Partner or Cisco Preferred Partner when your Portfolio score exceeds 7.5.
